SieMatic SLX Graphite Oak & GoldBronze Metallics

Dark Luxury & Golden Light — An Interior of Rare Atmosphere

Graphite Oak veneer, a Bronze Metallic island and a Bella Figura Bond Street chandelier — a complete open-plan environment designed as a single, immersive experience from kitchen to media wall.

Some kitchens are designed to be used. This one was designed to be inhabited — a complete living environment conceived as a unified composition of darkness, warmth and brilliance, where every material and every light source contributes to an atmosphere that is both dramatic and deeply welcoming.

At its heart is the SieMatic SLX collection in Graphite Oak veneer — the rich, deeply toned timber creating a quietly commanding backdrop against which the bronze metallic island, illuminated glass cabinetry and Bella Figura lighting emerge with extraordinary presence. This is a kitchen that understands atmosphere as a design material in its own right.

RidgeWey’s approach to this project was holistic from the outset: kitchen architecture, furniture specification, lighting design, media wall, wallcovering and soft furnishings were conceived as a single interior rather than individual elements placed in sequence. The result is an open-plan space of coherence, where the transition from cooking to dining to living feels not like moving between rooms, but between registers of the same experience.

These photorealistic CGI renders represent the project prior to installation, providing the client with a precise and immersive vision of their completed home before a single panel was fixed.

Bella Figura

Bond Street chandelier, kitchen pendants, wall lights and the Dover Street illuminated mirror — a complete lighting scheme from one of the world’s foremost bespoke lighting houses, each piece specified by RidgeWey to the project’s exact requirements.

SieMatic SLX

Graphite Oak veneer cabinetry, Gold Bronze recess channels with integrated LED lighting, invisible-side glass units with mirror backs and floating veneer boxes — the SLX collection at its most atmospheric.

Miele & Omexco

Miele built-in ovens and integrated coffee machine in graphite grey anchor the appliance zone. Omexco gold silk wallcovering provides the luminous backdrop to the media wall — an exceptionally refined textile that unifies the warmth of the gold tones throughout.

Graphite Oak & Gold Bronze Recess Channels

The SieMatic SLX cabinetry in Graphite Oak veneer establishes the architectural envelope of the kitchen — its deeply grained timber bringing warmth and texture to what is, in its overall impression, a dark and commanding interior. The handleless SLX door system allows the veneer to read as an uninterrupted surface, its grain continuous from floor to ceiling.

The signature SLX Gold Bronze recess channels run horizontally across the cabinetry with integrated LED illumination — a subtle ambient light source that animates the oak’s texture and introduces a warm golden glow at the base of each door. In the context of this darker palette, the lit channels create depth and rhythm, transforming a functional grip into a defining aesthetic feature.

The SLX glass wall units employ the collection’s invisible-side construction, with mirror backs and floating veneer boxes that appear to dissolve into the surrounding architecture. Illuminated internally, they introduce moments of warmth and transparency within the overall composition — displaying decorative objects with the considered restraint of a gallery installation.

A Curved Soft Edge & the Integrated Downdraft

The island is finished in Bronze Metallic — a warm, lustrous tone that reads as neither gold nor copper but possesses the authority of both. Against the depth of the surrounding Graphite Oak, its surface introduces a rich material contrast while remaining entirely harmonious with the gold bronze recess channels and the Bella Figura lighting above.

At the breakfast bar end, the worktop transitions into a soft curved edge — a considered detail that introduces organic warmth and a sense of invitation within an otherwise highly architectural composition. The generous overhang creates a natural seating position that encourages informal gathering without interrupting the kitchen’s clean visual lines.

The Bora induction hob with downdraft extraction sits flush within the island worktop, preserving uninterrupted sightlines across the entire open-plan space and allowing the view through to the dining area, living room and garden beyond to remain entirely unobstructed.

The Bond Street Chandelier — Defying Convention

Suspended above the dining table, the Bella Figura Bond Street chandelier is the lighting centrepiece of the entire open-plan space. Its Lucite rods — varying in length and diameter and suspended in dense, irregular formation from a brass ring — catch and scatter light with a quality that is simultaneously crystalline and warm. It defies easy categorisation: neither traditional chandelier nor contemporary pendant, it occupies a category entirely its own.

The brass ring and ceiling rose introduce the warm metallic tone carried throughout the interior — from the island finish to the recess channels and the Omexco wallcovering — creating a lighting fixture that feels designed for this space rather than selected from a catalogue.

Complementing the chandelier are matching pendant lighting above the kitchen zone and wall lights throughout the space complete the lighting scheme — each Bella Figura piece chosen to contribute to a layered, atmospheric result that transitions seamlessly from bright daytime use to intimate evening entertaining.

Curated at Every Scale

“The Bond Street chandelier defies convention — its Lucite rods in varying lengths and diameters create a composition that is simultaneously sculptural, crystalline and unmistakably warm.”
